Hello and lovely to meet you, thank you for stopping by. Here's a little (or a lot) about me..... I am a vocalist, songwriter and actor from not so sunny London.  I started my musical journey at 15 ( I know, so cute. I thought I was the new 'Whitney') I was inspired by Nina Simone, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and of course Whitney Houston. My passion for music and performance started with 'Jazz Hands' at one of London's prestigious performing arts schools,  'Sylvia Young Theatre School'.     

 

I went on to perform with various bands before having the honour of singing backing vocals for a band managed by Norman Cook (Fat Boy Slim).  The band released one studio album with a track that featured me as lead vocalist, and I was only 18 ( I know, bless). After years of playing in the UK and Europe, I decided it was time for an adventure, so I donned my backpack and off I went.

 

My travels brought me to sunny Sydney and so started my love affair with music in Australia. Once fully immersed in the Sydney music scene I soon became one of Sydney's most in demand vocalists having the honour of performing with artists such as James Morrison, Vanessa Amorosi, Ciaran Gribbin (INXS), Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Richard Clapton, ‘1927’, and Christine Anu as their backing vocalist.  I toured with nternational artists Belinda Carlisle (The Go Go’s), Tony Hadley (Spandou Ballet), Josh Groban and Michael Franti (Spearhead). I was also blessed and so humbled to have shared a stage with the great Smokey Robinson,  

 

I also perform in various bands including my corporate soul and disco band 'London Brown'. My favourite band (apart from my own) is 'Dancing in the Shadows of Motown', Sydney's very own premier Motown experience. I feature as one of the principle vocalists and absolutely love being part of this great show.

However, as much as I love to sing backing vocals and the songs of others, I am an avid songwriter who loves writing toons. My debut EP ‘Experience’ was released in 2010 to rave reviews ( well I thought they were rave). Since then I have released singles whilst working on my album. So what does my music sound like I hear you ask... well let's just say it is a blend of soul infused jazz, funk, disco, house and pop.  I have been told I have a unique powerful, sultry, soulful and distinctive voice, I guess you'll have to judge that for yourself. 

 

I also love a good collaboration which has lead me to write and produce with some incredible musicians, artists, producers and Dj's. I had the honour of having the amazing International Jazz artist James Morrison feature on my song  'Never Ever' co-written with Producers Ramsay McInnes and Chris Luder. What an absolute honour and bucket list moment that was!

 

I also love a bit of 'telly work' having appeared as one of the judges on Channel 7's 'All Together Now', as one of the band members in Channel 9's 'Love Child' as a backing vocalist on 'The Voice Season 2' and as an actor/musician in the movie 'I am woman'  the story of Helen Reddy. 

 

Oh and there's more....my love and passion for music doesn't stop at songwriting and live performances, I am also an experienced and gifted (if I do say so myself) vocal teacher. I love developing the musical gifts of the young and old helping them to find their voice.
